Today while putting together a nursery cart for Will’s room i literally STABBED myself with a Phillips screwdriver. OWWWWW! That damn thing hurt! I was tightening the screw when it slipped and stabbed my left hand between where my thumb and forefinger meet. Yeah, not pretty or painless.

Blood spewed everywhere and fast. Nathan was a little startled at it all and the fact that i kept yelling, “SHOOT!” while running my hand under the icy cold water faucet in his bathroom. Yeah, luckily i wasn’t yelling any other obscenities….don’t know how i managed to avoid that! So after about 15 minutes of applying pressure and holding my arm up (all the while with Will kicking the sh*t out of me), the bleeding subsided a bit. I went over to my bathroom, pulled out the Neosporin and bandaged up my wound. Nathan kept trying to get me to use his itty bitty Curious George band aids, but he wasn’t getting it….i needed the ADULT sized bandages! I finally settled on the waterproof ones seeing as how i am constantly washing my hands after changing poopy diapers, etc. Well, let me tell you….these suckers hold on tight to your skin! I can’t believe they are actually waterproof. It’s been on for hours and is showing no signs of peeling at the edges, etc.

It’s been a long day. Normally i am pretty darn handy with tools, especially a screwdriver. Don’t know what pregnancy brain is doing to me today.
