After lunch today David went to get a haircut.  When Nathan saw that Jim (the barber) was finishing up with David, Nathan walked over and politely asked him,

“Excuse me, can Daddy have a lollipop?”

 He’s obviously used to getting one after his haircut so it’s only natural for him to assume Daddy gets one, too.  Of course Jim obliged and even let Nathan pick out his Daddy’s lollipop.  He picked out a grape one and handed it right over.  After we’d all gotten into the car David handed N8 the lollipop to him in the backseat and Nathan of course was in shock replying,

“No Daddy, it’s YOUR lollipop!”

David of course told him that he could actually have it since he didn’t want it.  Nathan put up a small fight but then finally conceded the yes, indeed, he wanted it.  The licking then ensued.
