David and I took the boys to the Great Mall today. I think the last time I was out there was before we even moved to KC back in 1999. I remember when there was a Dillard’s outlet there and David’s mom would take me shopping.

Anyway, they have a great play area that is much more extensive than Oak Park’s and they had some fun other things too like the crane game (Nathan’s favorite) and these cute little ride-ons:

Nathan played the crane game and won a plush bee from Bee Movie. We were all on pins and needles while the crane (claw) actually held onto the stuffed toy and dropped it into the prize bin.

After playing at the mall for a while, we headed over to Red Lobster. We hadn’t been there in ages either and were pleasantly surprised at their great (and affordable) lunch menu. By the end of our afternoon, Nathan let us know that he indeed liked the Great Mall and was now a fan of Red Lobster. Maybe he thinks the chicken tenders are really good there.
