For some reason i am just more accepting of the snowy cold this year. I think n8 brings out the kid in me and i experience all the fascination with snow, etc. through his eyes. Or, maybe it’s that i like seeing him all cute and bundled up that makes me love the cold after all. At any rate, we were total snow bunnies today as the snow has just not let up all day!

After going to our La Leche League meeting/cookie exchange/playgroup, we came home, ate lunch then coralled up all the snow boots and hats and mittens we could find to go out and try and build a snowman. Our effort was unsuccessful, but we had SO much fun anyway! I think the snow is too powdery for it to “stay” in a perfect ball that resembles the snowman body. We’ll try again another time. We took some of our sand tools out that we used in the summer and were using the shovel to hoard snow, then i went and found a box carton that we used to make a sled to go down our yard and driveway. Yeah, that didn’t go over so well with n8. He just wanted to kick around in the snow. So, we did. I couldn’t get the kid to want to come back in, so i finally resorted to bribery. It was getting blistery out there. I casually mentioned that if/when we went inside we could enjoy fresh, hot popcorn and a movie. Nathan quickly replied, “mommy, let’s go!”
