For the past two weeks since preschool’s been in session, Nathan has come home EVERY DAY with sand in his shoes. And not just a little – a lot of annoying sand. Today just as I was buckling him in to the car from picking him up at school, he says to me that’s he’s got a few rocks and lots of sand in his shoes. Instead of emptying them out at home (like I’ve been doing) I decided to do it right then an there.

Boy am I glad I did. His shoes needed to be pounded so that all the sand came out and we removed his socks too and got all the sand out of his feet. There were three or four of those little pebble rocks in his shoes too which all thankfully got left behind in the preschool parking lot and not in my entryway.
