Recently I've been telling N to "act your shoe size, not your age!" when his behavior is less than acceptable.  I am not looking forward to the day I have to actually declare that as an opposite statement because that will mean he's getting bigger!  He's such a great helper to me in ways I never thought possible! 

It's even enjoyable at times to be out and about with him.  Like today.  We had a little extra time before his group violin lesson so we stopped by the place where I get my daily planner page refills to see if they had pages for 2009 (which, of course, the didn't).  The point is though, that I sort of even forgot he was with me while the store clerk and I chatted a bit about when I could check back with them.  Then, N and I enjoyed looking at some cool little organizational accessories and gadgets together before leaving.

It's nice to have a kid who sometimes acts his shoe size!  Makes things a whole lot easier!
