Will has an ear infection. Yep, that’s right. Oh well, I had a good run. Two kids and three plus years later and an ear infection has never before reared its ugly head into this house – until now.

Will started sneezing and getting some congestion on Friday afternoon/evening and I thought he was teething since he’s cut three teeth in just a short time. Apparently, though, those teething symptoms built up behind his eardrum and his left ear has some pus and buildup behind it. It’s not a bad ear infection but does need to be treated with antibiotics, which sucks since the last time Will was on them he got major poops and resulted in some (I can only assume) painful diaper rash.

He’ll start on meds today and hopefully be feeling better in 24-48 hours so he’ll be able to pose for his first Christmas pics. Poor thing. He’s so lethargic, clingy and fussy today.

Thank GOD my mom is here to help us out with everything else going on like Nathan’s preschool Christmas program tonight and my last-minute Christmas errands!

I’m glad she suggested taking him into the doc’s today. I almost didn’t because I thought it was just a bad cold or something. I mean, after all, he did seem just fine when this was taken by Nathan the other day.
