Fantastic Friday.

The title of this post says it all. We’ve had such a great day here in the T family. Nathan went to preschool this morning as usual and Will and I got some time to visit with John Paul.

The boys had a great time playing and sharing food. They both are grazers and love to eat cereal. Today we had Chex in the pantry so that’s what they had.

Of course, they enjoyed sharing and feeding one another as well.

After we picked Nathan up from school we headed over to Chick-fil-a (our usual lunchtime ritual) for a quick bite before going to see the new VeggieTales movie. Several friends were also there to see the movie so it was a fun outing for all. Will slept through about 45 minutes of the movie and the rest of the time was bribed with popcorn and gummy bears. Nathan was his usual movie-going self – laughing out loud and shoving handfuls of popcorn into his mouth. He’s just like his Mommy!

After the movie we headed home for naps. Then this evening we were treated to a Funky Mama concert at church. We’d seen her perform before and her show was equally entertaining this evening. Will kept going up to her “stage” area trying to get a hold of the instruments, but he did find some time to dance and enjoy himself.

My kids just love to dance. It’s in their blood; their culture.

Did I mention they love dancing with partners?

Yeah, Will’s not afraid to just walk up to a lady, grab her by the hand (or arm), and start shaking his booty. That’s exactly the way it happened here.

So, as you can imagine, it was hard to find just one shot for my P365 today, but I managed. It’s actually the second of two related photos.

Nathan came home today with another book his class had done and it is so touching and unique. The book came with a tape player that has each child contributing their part of the story on tape, which corresponds with the book. Here are Nathan’s contributions…..

And my photo for today……

I just love Nathan’s artwork in this book. The watercolor page was done with ice cubes, as Nathan tells me. They painted with ice cubes! I think it would be fabulous framed art!
