Today after the Little Angels kids program at church, we were invited to join Nina and her boys Liam and Colm for lunch over at Beach Bums Island Cartoon Cafe. This place is WAY cool and just within walking distance from our house. It’s practically in our backyard. Anyway, I really hope the community starts supporting it because it was not too terribly busy the whole time we were there but definitely a better choice for those with kids who usually frequent the Chuck E. Cheese joint.

The boys enjoyed watching the humongo jumbotron of a TV screen where they played a series of laugh-out-loud Beach Bums Island cartoons while waiting for our food. Nina and I both got the BLT sandwich which came with really fresh, yummy, generous bowls of fruit and the boys got pizza and PB&Js.

After eating, the boys took their bags of tokens into the little game room which was really clean and contained (unlike C.E.C). Nathan had tons of fun playing several games there and in the end turned in his tickets for a mini spinning top, camo airplane, and a ring.

I really hope the place makes it and stays in business…it’s such a neat place to take the kids. Oh yeah, and I should mention that I of course I had $5 off coupons for Nina and I.
