  • Well, it’s still not hot enough here for swimming, at least by my standards, but today shaped up to be pretty summer-like and fun. Nathan started his Spanish camp today and seemed to have a great time. As his maestra was evaluating his current level, I overheard him count from One to Fifteen in Spanish…

  • First babysitter.

The kiddos did great last night with Katie, our new babysitter (at least through summer before she heads back to college). Anyway, she arrived at about 6:30 and I went over a few ground rules, etc. with her. Then Nathan eagerly asked her if she’d play the Wii with him and she of course said,…

  • My violin is here!

YAY! My mom sent me a violin that my cousin is letting me borrow. I am sure it’s not totally necessary that I have my own to practice on but I thought it would be a good excuse to borrow it! Nathan is starting his violin lessons this fall and will get one of his…

  • I’ve been soliciting names and numbers for babysitters for my boys now for quite some time. While I’d received quite a few referrals, I’d pretty much just starred them in Gmail account or made note of them somewhere but hadn’t really acted on any. Until today. I’ve just been procrastinating on calling them even though…

  • Well, Nathan is doing a little better today.  Aside from blowing chunks while we were in line at Sweet Tomatoes, he’s been able to keep down some yogurt, banana, and Pedialyte.  I think he’s on the slow road to recovery.  He’s gotten a little more energy back this afternoon and had fun playing outside with…

  • Will wrapped up his second semester of KM last Thursday.  Since N8 is out of school for summer, he of course came along with us.  I seized the opportunity to get some pics of Will in his class since I’d not done so before. He loves his baby bells.  He actually loves to chew on them…

  • Krispy Kreme tour.

Last week a group of us visited the Krispy Kreme to see how they make doughnuts.  Afterwards, they gave everyone a free one!  There were way too many kids there and as such was too crowded but it definitely was worth it for the freebie. Gotta love those sprinkles.

  • The other night Nathan and I made a desperate attempt at making sure we accounted for all of his cars.  We’ve collected so many I’ve forgotten which ones we have. Anyway, we’d lined them up and classified them by color before but there were fewer then.  Can you tell what Nathan’s favorite color is? Oh…

  • Nathan is sick.  He must have a stomach bug.  He’s vomited twice since this afternoon and has a 101 temp.  We’re trying to keep ice chips down for a few hours and then we’ll see what the doc says.  My poor baby.

  • Nathan has started to really get into these frequent Sam’s Club trips that have become routine for us.  Today after Will took his early afternoon nap, I corralled both boys into the car and we headed out to pick up a few essentials. It is so hard to not spend every last dime in that place! I mean,…
