  • Couponing for Christmas: U-Build Monopoly

    November 10, 2010
    holidays, celebrations + parties, shopping

It's the little things in life that make me happy.  Little things like saving money.  Today I was able to pick up one of the games, U-Build Monopoly, on Nathan's Christmas wish list I posted about the other day.  Oh, and I picked it up for less than half of retail.  Here's how it went…

Jacob loves hearing himself talk.  Moreover, he loves hearing himself call out my name and then me calling back to him. He's also loving his dinosaur friend! (Thanks, Fisher-Price!)

holidays, celebrations + parties, nathan, william

This past weekend the boys spent most of their Sunday afternoon pouring over all the advertisement inserts and toy books included in the Sunday newspaper.  When I returned from the grocery store, it appeared they were hard at work on their wish lists for Santa.  William even sealed his up in an envelope.

  • Fun Fall pics

Today we had a 70-degree day and it’s the first week in November.  Now, I’m not complaining since I LOVE warm weather!  But, I do have to admit this Fall (probably since it’s been so mild) has been so amazingly peaceful and fun.  And, my kids are just growing like weeds! Here’s a peek at…

  • Capturing this moment

    October 28, 2010
    motherhood + parenting

School is out here today and tomorrow, so we are enjoying some much-needed breaks from a routine!  I had all these wonderful activities in mind for today but with the timing of breakfast, violin lessons, and Jacob's much needed nap, I decided to forego them and just hang out. I was up and at 'em…

  • So now what do I do?

    motherhood + parenting, newsworthy

Yet another recall was issued, I discovered today.  I've totally gotten used to the fact that while strolling the aisles of my CVS store, that the Tylenol shelves are empty.  Ok, I get that.  What I don't get is how there can possibly be a recall now on Hyland's Teething Tablets.  Seriously?  The homeopathic tabs…

    holidays, celebrations + parties, jacob

Jacob’s first trunk-or-treat was tonight up in the parking lot of our church.  He was a trooper and had a great time as we strolled the parking lot gathering all kinds of loot!  Of course, we were in such a hurry to get there, I forgot to snap any photos beforehand. I did, however, capture…

  • Why I love being a boymom.

    October 21, 2010
    motherhood + parenting

Let me preface this post first by saying that I LOVE my boys.  All three of them.  I also LOVE that, because they are boys, they give me a lifetime membership to laughter.  After this video, I think you'll agree that ALL moms of boys have that same membership.  Especially my friend Angie, whose son…

  • “Boo to the Flu” recap

    October 18, 2010
    my life

Last week I took part in a fun, local event sponsored by Clorox, aimed at "boo-ing" the flu virus!  I am so not one of those people that copes well with illness, whether it's with my kids or myself.  I am the biggest baby.  There have been times when I've been just a little ill…

  • On the driveway

    October 13, 2010
    my life

Lately, we've all spent tons of time out on the driveway. It's been the common place for lots of family time in recent days. Nathan, whittling down his space derby project in time for his Scouts meeting this week.  I find myself asking more and more these days, "when did he decide to grow up so FAST?!!"…
