This morning started out real early for me.  I took the boys to get pictures done at Kelly’s with REAL bunnies and real-looking chicks!  Nathan was so cute and tender with the bunnies.  I could tell he really wanted to take one home (especially the little furry brown one).  Will was equally cute, however was only interested in tugging at their soft fur and pinching it (almost the way he pinches me daily).  The boys were SO handsome and of course as Kelly kept repeating this over and over again, I told her each time that I of course couldn’t take full credit for such a well-deserved compliment.  But, I WILL take at least 50%.

Also since Will wasn’t too entirely thrilled with all of the studio’s equipment, etc. when we first arrived, Kelly had me pose with both boys for a few snapshots just to get everyone warmed up.  I wish I’d have dressed better or at least taken off my hoodie since I had a white t-shirt on underneath and the boys were both dressed in white oxfords.  Oh well.  I guess she didn’t think it was too big of a deal so we’ll see how they turn out.  It was really nice to get the opportunity to do that though.  It’s something I haven’t gotten nearly enough of – GOOD pics of myself with my kids.  It was nice to have the chance.

Anyway, back to the title of this post.  So after pics we head over to playgroup where I attempted to get some of my voice back (didn’t work too well) and then came home, had lunch, and headed out again over to Target for some necessities.  (it’s Target – everything’s a necessity!)  After filling our basket with pretty much all I had on my list (plus a few goodies), we were making our way over to the produce side of the store since I’d parked on that side of the parking lot.  I usually always check out on whatever side I am parked on….just a habit.  Well, as we were jettin’ past the checkout lanes to make it over to that side, a friendly Target worker was eagerly waiting for someone to come into his lane and he asked me if I was all done and ready to check out.  I told him “no” even though I was, simply because he didn’t appear to be a person who I thought would be a good bagger!  Suddenly I realized that I do this everywhere I go.  I prejudge and precisely pick out just who is going to get to ring me up based on how well I think they’ll bag my stuff.

I guess it’s because bagging was sort of a learned art for me when I had my first job at HEB.  I was so good that I was quickly promoted to cashier.

Anyhow, just something I realized about myself today.  Yep, I am always looking for extra care and expertise in bagging my loot.
