Nathan is staying so busy this week that I fear I’ll wear him out! He’s continuing with this second week of Spanish class (which runs three days a week the entire month of June!) and he also has Vacation Bible School at church this week in the afternoons. Spanish runs from 9:30 untill 11 then it’s home for lunch and back out to make it to VBS by 1 until 4.

Since we didn’t have Spanish today though (it’s only Tu/Wed/Thurs) we were out early today to check out the Summer movie with his buddy Cole and his mommy. Then we all headed over to Chick-fil-a for lunch and some more running around in the play area. Then it was off to VBS. Nathan walked right in and made himself at home, as usual with new surroundings. I had to call his name out twice to get him to say bye to me.

Upon picking him up at 4, the adult volunteer for his room (Mary, I think was her name) informed me that not only did he have a great time today (as evidenced by the sweaty hair), but that he “loves to talk”. Then she did that hand signal for talk that we all know. I smiled gracefully and replied, “yeah, he sure does. I am pretty sure he gets that from me.” Anyway she said they had fun playing outside as well as doing their indoor activities. The theme for VBS this year is “Avalanch Ranch – A Wild Ride through God’s Word”. Needless to say he was thoroughly worn out by the time we made it home. He walked in, asked for some Mac ‘n Cheese and then headed off for a nap. I am pretty sure I’ll have to go in and wake him at about 6:30 or 7 o’clock.

He’s such a trooper though, and loves to be on the go so I am positive that he’s going to have such a fun and busy week. And, although I think Will may miss some of their brotherly playtime, I think he’s equally pleased to have Mommy all to himself for several hours a day this week!
