Sunshine, finally!

Thank GOD the sun finally showed today. I was really about to lose it today if the rain had continued. We’ve already got some weird shroom fungus growing in next to my calla lillies and I am NOT happy about it! Damn rain.

Anyway, after this morning’s cleaning frenzy I decided to reward the kids for great, superb behavior for staying upstaris and out of my way to vacuum and clean floors of the entire first level. We headed to Cici’s pizza for lunch and then over to the park. Nathan of course managed to make “friends” with about four older boys while we were there. They were playing some sort of chase and then a firefighter game. These boys were about nine or ten years old I would say and were having fun with a three year-old? Weird. I kept being nosey and eavesdropping just to make sure they weren’t going to say anything corruptive (is that even a word?) to my little baby. I started to think about when it’s time for him to go to school how I’ll want to be one of those moms that just pops in for recess just so I can watch out for my boy. It’s sad. I’ve realized though that he holds his own pretty well and that I just have to let him go and make his own decisions when it comes to friends and such.

I also had my fair share of fun chasing Will around the playscape area and putting him in the swing a couple of times. He started to fall asleep while swinging the second time, though, so that was my cue.

We stayed out at the park for about an hour and a half and then headed home. While Nathan enjoyed a refreshing popsicle, I managed to get Will down for a nap and then Nathan soon followed. I guess now I can check my email (yay!) for the first time today. Woo-hoo!
