Nathan went his first co-ed party today. It was Sydney’s, a classmate of his, birthday and he was invited along with the entire Ms. Jan Junior Frog class to celebrate at her place. It was in her backyard and it was splashin’ fun complete with a Spider-Man slip ‘n slide, kiddie pool, wacky sprinklers, bubbles and a playscape. Nathan had a ball and afterwards all he could talk about were his friends and going back to school soon.

I am so glad we’ve decided to let him stay in the same class this next year. His classmates will be the same with the exception of three kids so that’ll be good. Some of the moms there had gotten on the topic of what schools were in the area and what junior high the kids would be going to but I just couldn’t even get that far in my head. It was a struggle just to make the decision about this upcoming year in preschool so I can’t even entertain the idea of having a pre-teen just yet.
