Where does the time go, seriously? It feels like just yesterday I was wiping his fuzzy behind with newborn baby wipes and sponge bathing him in my bathroom sink. And here we are – today – Nathan’s last day of preschool. He’s been through the 3 year-old program, now the 4 year-old, and this fall will be in Pre-K. I am so grateful for that September birthday! I am sure I would be a wreck getting ready to send him to a big school this fall.
Today was Nathan’s last day with Ms. Jan – forever. Too sad. She is the best teacher we could have dreamed of for Nathan. In fact, I don’t think I could’ve designed one better myself. Can’t she just follow us around for the rest of his academic career? No? Darn. So, it was bittersweet, as most endings are. Nathan loves school oh-so-much. I hope his wonderment and enthusiasm only grow more and more.
Smiling during his last circle time.
Whispering his answer to “my favorite thing at school is?” [incidentally, he answered playing cars.]
Clearing out his wall pocket with his name tag and other school goodies.
Having one more snack – CUPCAKES brought by classmate, Sydney.
Giving his teacher one final big hug to end the day!
After school we headed over to a local park for the end-of-year picnic. Here he is waiting for his best buddy to sign his autograph book. Yeah, right….like these two aren’t ever going to see each other again!
At one point during our outing I couldn’t find Will. So, i checked the food area. Yep, there he was sucking down Oreos.
End of year photo op with teacher, Ms. Jan.
