Whew, it’s been a busy last couple of days. As many of you know, i was planning on making my last trip down to Austin before baby comes in April. N8 and i were scheduled to leave today but yesterday we decided to cancel the trip based on a number of factors.

With the opening of Green Tea just around the corner, my “people” skills are desperately needed here to help interview potential new employees. David has also gone a little under the weather and i just couldn’t, in good conscience, leave at such a crucial time like this. n8 and i have been at the restaurant every day for the past 3 days. I’ve mostly been taking applications and talking to people coming in asking, “when are you opening?”, “what kind of food are you going to have here?”, “what’s your price range?”, “are you hiring?”, etc., etc.

So, i did some call backs today and i have a few interviews setup with people tomorrow. I hope to get the interviewing done tomorrow and Saturday so we can train on Monday and Tuesday and open on Wednesday, the 1st.

Everyone’s doing their part, David, his parents, and his brother….so i am glad i stayed to help out. We’ll try and see if we can make the trip to Austin later in February.
