This Daddy rules.

D's had a great day – I'll take the liberties of speaking for him on this one.  He was teeing off at 7 a.m. this morning and then came home to have lunch with the kids and I.  The best part about his homecoming was that as soon as N heard the garage door opening up, he had us running around like mad people trying to hide from D.  We hid in the dining room as we heard the him step inside the house.  Then as he rounded the corner to come look for us, N, W, and I jumped out and shouted, "Happy Father's Day!"

After a quick lunch of sandwiches and Sun Chips, we headed over to the movies for some Panda-monium and popcorn.  We'd wanted to catch this on opening night but since we were on vacation when it came out last weekend, didn't get a chance to.  The kids of course enjoyed it and I caught D and I sneaking in a laugh every now and then, too.

Post movie we headed home for naptime and watching the U.S. Open, both of which D partook of off and on.  We decided to order take-out for dinner and then N and I whipped up a batch of walnut browines for the fam and they were transformed into warm brownie sundaes.

So what did you do to celebrate Dad this day?

Well, Joe and I went to church at St Ann (10 am), then we went to eat at Logan’s. After that, we stopped by Office Depot and picked up some necessary and unnecessary office supplies. We went home and I called and spoke to 3 of my 4 brothers and wished them a Happy Father’s Day. Then we prepared to go to the Double AA baseball game at Dr. Pepper Field to watch the Frisco Rough Riders go up against the Corpus Christi Hooks. RRs lost. It was a good game until the top of the 5th. Oh well, it was so much fun.
