David left at 4 a.m. today for his golf trip with he and his buddies. He called me after finishing up his two rounds of golf for the day and a very nice resort dinner, and informed me that he and his friend, Phil (whom he’s rooming with), received an automatic upgrade to a SUITE upon checking in! Seriously.

Okay, now I’m jealous!

They’re staying at the luxurious Wigwam Resort in Phoenix. It’ll be a nice getaway for him and he really deserves it (Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, Honey!) He and his group have been planning and looking forward to this trip for a while now and I just hope it’s all they hope for it to be.

The other night one of the other golf wives called me up and invited me to dinner with the gals here on Saturday night. As much as I wish I could join them, I had to decline. When David asked why, I was like, “Uh, I’ll have the KIDS with me!” He was sure that it would be fine to bring them along. Riiiight. And that would make for an enjoyable dinner? I don’t think so.

Anyway, I miss my husband but I know he’s getting a nice, long break from us and he’ll come back good and refreshed. Maybe then I’ll be able to get away and sneak in a haircut.
