This past weekend my two school-age kids found out who their teachers are going to be for this upcoming school year. They were so excited to finally know who will guide them in their academic, social, and spiritual journey throughout the next 9+ months. They're excited to see old friends again and make new ones. Excited for new backpacks, fresh crayons, and crisp uniforms.

In my usual tradition, I ventured out a couple of days ago to find a little something for the special teachers that will undoubtedly help my children grow in ways they may have never thought possible. I usually like to have a little something for the kids to present to their teacher, just to serve as a token of gratitude for the upcoming year.

I found these cute little notepads at Mardel since I was there shopping for a couple of other spiritual items.

They're nothing fancy but just a simple gesture of appreciation. So how about you? Are you looking forward to the start of a new school year?

My son has been excited to go back to school because he really got bored at home watching movies and he misses his classmate. I’m happy that school excites him, so I made him folders for his stuff that he actually like because I used pattern paper printed with his favorite movie character spiderman.
