I've decided to resurrect a meme I used to be so diligent about actually taking part in.  So, here goes!

One of the things my family enjoys most about our weekly routine is being able to check out our week at a glance which is posted every weekend up on the left side of our fridge door.   I found great magnetic weekly planner notepad a while back and was able to use up all the sheets it came with.  I had checked out a few options at Target and found a write and wipe type of magnetic board by Mead.  I came home, stuck it on the fridge, and proceeded to write on it.  I hated it.  The marker it came with sucked wrote too light and just made everything illegible.  Plus, I found that I didn't actually like the dry erase option.

So I started thinking about how I could ingeniously design my own sheets and then send them to the office supply store and have them made into a notepad.  But that would take too long and time is not something I have much of these days.

Then in dawned on me that I had that cute BusyBodyBook just sitting there.  I received it as part of my swag from Midwest Moms Media last month and hadn't actually put it to use.  Not because I don't like it but mostly because I already have my little planner system in place and didn't really need another style.  But I do love the BusyBodyBook's layout and since it's spiral-bound I knew it would be the perfect solution to my little homekeeping dilemma.

I love how I can still write out our entire schedule and weekly plans so that the hubs can see what we've got going on when, and I'm able to use the space on the right to write down our menu for each day.

Since it's in a weekly format, I will just work on the following week straight in the book and tear out the weekly sheet as the previous week comes to an end.  LOVE!

So, this week's pretty busy with the boys' soccer and football practices in full swing, violin starting, and a few other commitments.  My mantra with menu planning continues to be easy, yummy, and easy.  Did I mention that?  Here's what we're munchin' on:

Monday:  Italian sausage penne pasta, salad, bread loaf with homemade garlic butter.

Tuesday:  Out. The kids have activities from about 4:15 till 7:15 that night.  I'll be with two of the boys running around like crazy and hubs will be with the other one running him around to practices.  So, I'll pick up something for the two kids and I and hubs will have to wing it with him and the other little man.  Good thing Tuesday is great for Kids Eat Free in Kansas City!

Wednesday:  Crock pot Chinese pork ribs, steamed rice.

Thursday:  Chicken & spinach linguine, salad, bread loaf with homemade garlic butter.

Friday:  Beef tostadas, Spanish rice.

Saturday:  Out or order pizza.  The hubs and I are hoping to make it to a parent party after our son's flag football scrimmage.  We're also having a sitter over so pizza might be the better option.

Sunday:  Grill out burgers or hotdogs, potato salad, and beans.

Your Tuesdays sound like my Tuesdays. Group violin lesson from 4:00-5:15. Soccer from 5:00-8:00. Who needs dinner? 🙂
