While my mom was here we sometimes referred to Will as “one-eyed Willy” because he does this thing sometimes where he looks at you with one eye open and the other shut, as if to say, “whaaat??? can’t you all just let me SLEEP??”

Anyway, the term “one-eyed Willy” is not new to our family. A few years ago after my mom’s car accident that left her with permanent eye damage, my sister was cruel enough to make up the nickname for my mom since she could only really see out of one eye well at that time. My mom even mentioned the other day that on Mother’s Day that year, they got her a big cookie cake that read, “Happy Mother’s Day One-Eyed Willy”.

Too funny! Cruel, but funny. That’s my sister for ya’! 🙂
