Quality Family Time 

If you live somewhere where the hours you work are more important than the work you do, then it might seem perfectly reasonable to look for a place that has things the other way around – your work is important, but you won’t have to break your back doing it. You’ll have time to actually be with your family due to a slower pace of life. 

 

Every country does things differently, so you’ll want to explore all your options, but if that’s what you’re looking for, there will definitely be places to go that will allow you to live that way. You’ll be able to bond much better with your family and spend time with them without being so rushed and stressed all the time, and that could be the only reason you need. 

More Money

What skills do you have? If you’re proficient in something in particular and that’s a skill that’s lacking in another country, it’s likely that jobs that need that skill will be highly paid. They’ll have to be to attract people like you from all over the world to apply for them. 

 

So if you’re looking to make more money and you can prove you have a certain qualification or a particular level of experience, that could be your ticket to a much more comfortable lifestyle. Or what about keeping your current job but moving somewhere with a lower cost of living? Thanks to remote working, that could be possible, and although you wouldn’t be paid more, you’ll be spending less, so you’ll end up with more in your pocket at the end of the money. Remember, you might need expat tax return preparation if you decide to do this, and especially if you have property in more than one country. 

Better Climate

For some, it’s less about work and money and more about the weather, and that can be a big draw. If you’re living in a busy, rainy city right now, but you had the opportunity to live in a beautiful and quiet place by the beach where the weather we sunny most of the time, wouldn’t it make sense to do just that? 

 

It makes even more sense if you suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) or you or your kids have a breathing issue like asthma, and you just need fresh air and sunshine. Take a look at the climates of other countries, and you might find that somewhere else would suit you and your health better.
