I am so sick of hearing on TV and reading in print that our “focus has shifted from rescue and recovery to stopping looting”. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT? What difference does it make that people are looting flooded areas to salvage the food, water, diapers, and clothing that is left???

Why has THAT become a priority and not the rescue and recovery?? G Dubya said that he thinks there should be “zero tolerance for these types of crimes during times of emergency”, but i beg to differ. Who really cares if thousands of people are taking supplies they need to feed and clothe their babies? All of that stuff is just going to go to waste anyhow!

I am just fuming at how this whole situation is being handled. I hope the looters are able to get what they need to ensure their survival.
