I was on the phone with a lady today whom i’ve never met, talking about a holiday mart that i am going to particpate in later this year. As we were hanging up, she said to me, “we’ll see ya, Can.” i got sort of weirded out by it. The only person who usually EVER calls me “Can” is my sister.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to shorten the name of someone whom you’ve never met.
