Will is 2 months old today and i cannot believe it!! Here’s why i call him my “bundle” of joy:

Will 2 months old – 6/15/06

(He’s still got to be bundled tight when in his swing or nursing, or just about anywhere to fall asleep!)

Some things i’ve discovered so far about you, Will:

• You have to have your “grasp” on my bra, shirt, hair or other object that i am wearing while nursing. This has become your signature security hold.
• You’re the most amazingly happy person in the morning…i’ve never known anyone to be in such a good mood so early. You even tend to put ME in a good mood at 7 am which no one has EVER been able to do.
• You don’t like carseat rides. Well, i should say, unless the car is actually moving. Stoplights? Forget it.
• You don’t particularly care to be out and about (i.e., Target). You’re more of a “homebody” (you can thank your Dad for that trait). But, as you’ve seen over the past 2 months, your big brother and i are quite active and are busybodies….always going somewhere running some sort of errand (usually shopping related). So, nonetheless, you are slowly becoming accustomed.
• You don’t like the cradle hold while in the sling
• You’ve started to recognize me singing “You are My Sunshine” to you on a regular basis.
• You are one to be pampered (you can thank me for that trait) as evidenced by your love of getting your hair washed. I’ve even been known to do it when i just can’t get you to stop being fussy…works like a charm. You close your eyes and enjoy the water drenching your beautiful dark (but poofy) hair. You’re also quite fond of baths, but not the getting out part….i know, i know, too chilly.
• The vacuum is a serene sound for you. I’ve, again, used it to soothe you and put you to sleep. It’s a weird thing for me to look over and see the vacuum on but not being used, but whatever floats your boat, right?
• You are extremely chatty…hmmm…wonder who you get that from?
• You absolutely adore your big brother Nathan. When i need to keep you occupied while getting dressed or doing a chore, i simply get Nate to go over to you and you two start chatting away. Your biggest smiles appear when he’s around.
• You like your crib..which is a great thing (for me) and you like snuggling in bed with mommy and daddy too!
• While you for the most part like to be covered up, you have to have your hands out on top of the covers not tucked inside (even though i secretly sometimes come over and place another blankie on top of you just to cover your precious hands!)
• You’ve got your Dad’s great dimples though they’re placed a little lower on your cheeks than his, but cute nonetheless! Your big smiles really show them off.
• You’re one tough cookie…..Nate’s been known to roughhouse around you and it hasn’t affected you a bit.
• When you’re mad, you’re MAD!
• You’re such a great blessing in our lives and i don’t know how we ever lived without you!
