The kids will soon be out of school for summer break, but that doesn’t mean the fun of learning has to stop! Making sure that STEM is part of your kids’ summer will ensure they have a summer of learning and fun!
As a mom of 5, I try hard to pack my kids’ summer activities full of learning and fun because no one wants their kids to experience the dreaded summer slide. Of course, there are all kinds of workbooks, camps, and other activities that your kids can enjoy throughout the summer months that encourage learning and fun.
Recently, I became aware of Snapology and all that they have to offer. I’m seriously adding them to my list of 60+ Great Ideas for Summer Fun! I love that their programs are research based, interactive, and flexible based on every kid they work with.
We’ve all heard it time and time again why STEM education and activities is so important. Even the Department of Education believes in STEM education and its value. They’ve noted that our kids today need STEM education so they can learn to problem solve, process evidence and information, and decipher what that information means. They’ve cited all of these skills as ones that are supported when they learn from science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
I’ve also recently come across some easy, practical ways that STEM can be infused into a summer of learning and fun. What I’ve gathered is that STEM activities don’t have to be complicated or confusing. Learning about STEM and making it fun is easy to do with the right resources.
