I think it’s time that I finally let my family and friends in on a little secret. As many of you know, I started my first website back when Nathan was just a little nursling. My goal in creating it was truly to provide a forum for moms to meet one another and also to provide real valuable information to moms about motherhood, parenting, health, entertainment, etc.

After hearing from a few of my acquaintances who joined as members of my site that they would love to see something like that localized, my little brain went wacky in trying to come up with time and energy to implement such a task. Over the last several months I have been at work creating and tweaking a new site, which I am finally so proud to announce. KC Metro Moms is my new online baby. I love everything about it and I am so hopeful at all of its potential. Although I officially launched it back in May, I decided to hold off on screaming about it to the world. But, I am screaming today. I’ve just forged a cooperative relationship with Babies R Us to promote my site both in-store and at several of their events. I am also scheduled to have information about KC Metro Moms available at a few other events this summer. In the works is also a printable coupon feature that will feature all kinds of great offers from businesses that are local and that have products and services related to area moms. KC Metro Moms features message boards, local links, an event calendar, local reviews, and more. But most of all, it fills a void that many moms have – the resources to connect with other moms. Members have joined KC Metro Moms for various reasons. Some want to meet new moms to arrange playdates with their kids, some just want to meet other moms for that occasional “mom night out”, and others just want to be part of a great local online community. KC Metro Moms is the first site of its kind in our metro area and I have many plans for it.

The moms that are a part of KC Metro Moms have been so great and are really helping the site take off! Anyway, just thought I’d share about what’s keeping me busy these days. Look for more great things to come, God willing!
