This weekend the state of Kansas celebrates 150 years!  My son's first grade teacher asked for two moms to volunteer to make cupcakes for the class to celebrate, so of course I had to volunteer!  Tonight while Nathan was at a Scouts meeting, I whipped these babies up:

Just about a year ago for MY birthday, I blogged about getting this book.  I have since made a handful of cupcake creations from it and today I added these sunflowers to that list!  I am hoping the kids enjoy digging into them tomorrow as they celebrate Kansas' birthday!
