Although I never take a day off as a mom (as I am sure many of you can relate to), I am looking forward to a few good things this weekend.

  • I am finally getting a much needed – and deserved – haircut and color.  I am excited to try out the LifeSpa at the gym.  Ironically, the last time I got a haircut was on Memorial Day weekend.  I am sensing a pattern here.
  • I'll be volunteering at Irish Fest tonight and then taking the kids there on Saturday morning, providing they cooperate so we can make it out the door.  I've never gone to the festival before but I totally know it will be a blast.  I'm not Irish though, so maybe they'll be selling "Kiss Me Even Though I'm Not Irish" t-shirts.
  • I am hopeful we can make it to the swimming pool one last time before they all shut down for the summer.  The kids will like it and I want to soak in every bit of sun that I can because I know the winter blues are looming up ahead.
  • Enjoying our final weekend before N goes off to Pre-K.  I have a few more surprises in store for him as we continue with our countdown to back-to-school.
  • Sitting, doing nothing.  I rarely get the opportunity to do that and since we're light on scheduled events here in the T household, I'll hopefully be doing a lot of nothing.

What's on your agenda for this holiday weekend?

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

We’re playing Ultimate Frisbee tomorrow and going to the family “grange” in Marq on Sunday. We don’t have a three-day weekend, but maybe we’ll have some American fare to celebrate on Monday. Have a good weekend!!
