1. Be brave enough to stick my hand inside my kid's diaper only to confirm that, yes, he had in fact taken a poop. 
  2. Be jumping at the chance to finish the half-eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich or cold toast that my kids left behind, because it was the only small chance I had at eating something all day.
  3. Get so wrapped up in party-planning and have more fun than my kids at picking party stuff out.
  4. Worry so much about stereotypes and how much my kids are exposed to them.  It's a constant battle for me to steer clear of stereotypes and to make sure my kids see everything as fairly as possible.
  5. Feel so loved by another human being.

    never done number 1, yes to number 2, not so much number 3, somewhat number 4, and definitely number 5 (except for after an hour of sleeping in the bed of our sick child because he asked me to, then being asked to “Leave, mommy!”)
