In this week’s edition of Five Things, I’d like to share some rather interesting (yet random) things I’ve found while cleaning out the house over the past two weeks.
- A lamp I’d bought about a year ago at Kohl’s for about $3 on clearance. I have NO idea why I actually bought the lamp or where I envisioned it in my house. I have a feeling it was one of those just because impulse buys simply because it was cute and cheap. Am I the only one who makes purchases like that?
- An old maternity nightgown that I’d forgotten about that I am sure Erin wouldn’t mind borrowing for the rest of her pregnancy.
- The stickers that are supposed to be on W’s race car bed. We just never got around to putting them on the bed when we first bought it, but it’s all good now!
- Some yummy-scented pina colada votives I thought I had misplaced.
- An old receipt from when D and I lived in the O.C. in 2002 that was for a full tank of gas. Price per gallon? $1.59 – can you believe it?
As for the funny, I saw this a few streets over from my house while on the way home today. Freakin’ hilarious!
I’m glad to see that the younger generation still knows all about MC Hammer. OK, maybe scared is a better word.

I literally LOL!! Hilarious. I love it too because it’s just like some proper suburban kids to graffiti on a removable piece of tape all in the name of good, clean fun. Love it.
