  • For dinner tonight we had homemade cheeseburgers, fries, and corn-on-the-cob.  I knew that W loved corn, but I didn't realize he'd end up eating nearly all of the corn I bought!  The photo below is NOT doctored either….he really did eat from all of the corn on his plate!   Dinner was a success – N…

  • My baby is FIVE today!  I can hardly believe it.  It has been a whirlwind and exhausting, but super fun day for us.  Upon waking up in bed this morning (the kids slept with us in our bed last night), we all sang Happy Birthday to N before even getting up out of bed.  N…

  •       September 10, 2008   My Dearest Nathan,   Where can I possibly begin in telling you how much I love you?  There are no words.  To say that you have profoundly impacted my life and made it richer, more complete, is simply an understatement.  My dear, sweet, loveable, huggable, handsome boy – my…

  • Tonight N and I made cupcakes to take to his school tomorrow in celebration of his birthday.  His request was for pink cupcakes with blue frosting and Wall-E decorations.  Okay….got it.  We ended up making the cupcakes tonight but decided to hold off on frosting and decorating them until tomorrow morning before school.

  • Soccer season has begun yet again.  Today was N’s first soccer game of the season with his new team, The Superheroes.  If you met the kids on the team you would certainly agree that the name is very fitting for each of them.  They all own at least one superhero dress-up costume of some sort…

  • Recently I've been telling N to "act your shoe size, not your age!" when his behavior is less than acceptable.  I am not looking forward to the day I have to actually declare that as an opposite statement because that will mean he's getting bigger!  He's such a great helper to me in ways I never…

  • N & W have been wearing their cowboy boots EVERYWHERE lately.  And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere!  N has worn his out virtually every time we go out for dinner or just to make a Target run.  He's also resorted to using boots [bow-tas as W says it] for other things around the…

  • Sometimes it's just too steamy to get outside, but we somehow still find time to sit and enjoy the outdoors from inside.

  • Here she is in all her glory.  Clementine is a happy and energetic little fish who is no doubt enjoying the her bubbly and colorful surroundings.  The kids are already warming up to her as they love to watch her swim about and point out that she waves to them with her rapid little fin…

  • We played a lot of Wii Fit this wiikend.  Check out the lovely photo that my wonderfully photojournalistic husband managed to snap of me while trying to play a game on the Wii Fit balance board.  I swear, I’ll probably break my neck one of these days, but at least the kids get a kick…
