Last week I took part in a fun, local event sponsored by Clorox, aimed at "boo-ing" the flu virus!  I am so not one of those people that copes well with illness, whether it's with my kids or myself.  I am the biggest baby.  There have been times when I've been just a little ill and I've literally (my husband will attest!) whined that "I want my mommy!".  It's seriously not pretty to see.

Since my oldest was about 3 years old I have opted to have my kids get the flu shot and thankfully they have not gotten sick during the flu seasons over the years.  I usually opt to get the shot as well.  This year I was treated to a free flu shot thanks to the fun event!

A few of we local KC bloggers were invited to come out to the event and bring our kiddos for the fun! My older two were in school but I did manage to bring baby Jake and he had fun watching mommy get her flu shot!

I had a fab time with my fellow bloggers, Jenn from SuperJenn and Kelly at KansasCityMamas.
We enjoyed some talk time and the weather was just perfect for this fun outdoor event!  Costco was even on-hand with free cake samples! Can't beat that!
