My oldest son, Nathan {who's 9}, has always said he does NOT believe in rainbows. He's been saying this for about the past 5 years {at least} that I can recall. And each time I'd ask him why not, his answer was always the same. He'd never personally seen one in person. Sure, he'd seen tons of rainbows in pictures and videos, but none that HE had personally witnessed in real life and in real-time. And then, after his baseball game last week, we saw this as we were walking out of the complex:
As soon as I realized he'd spotted it too, I zoomed my head around and asked, "now do you believe in rainbows?". He smiled his beautiful smile and nodded. And, as his mother, it's amazing how comforted by that I was.
