Although school and football have both officially begun here in my neck of the woods, the 95 degree temps outside still say it's summer. But. I've been living in Kansas City now for almost 15 years and know all too well that chillier air is on the horizon — even though it may be disguised right now with these hot August nights.
The change in seasons usually wreaks havoc on my combination skin, which is currently in a state of even more confusion thanks to pesky post-partum horomones. I know that once the fall weather hits home, I will be eager to transition not only my wardrobe, but my skin care and beauty routine as well. I'm excited that I will be looking to some fabulous Neutrogena products to help keep my skin looking and feeling healthy and radiant.
Cleanse, Moisturize, Beautify
Of course the first step in creating a fall beauty routine involves cleansing. For me, that means removing makeup AND cleansing my skin. I wear a bit of powder, blush, and lip gloss just about everyday so I want to make sure that I remove all traces of makeup before hitting the the sack every evening.
Neutrogena's Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes and infamous Oil-Free Acne Wash pump make cleansing my skin a breeze. I love that I can use just one towelette to remove all surface makeup {even mascara!} and follow it up with some cleansing action. And, here's a great cleansing tip that I swear by: I always keep one bottle of my cleanser on my vanity {for nighttime cleansing} and one in the shower for morning cleansing. I love that I can wash my face while in the shower and effectively kill two birds with one stone!
Since I live in a climate that can be harsh, cold, and drying, moisturizing is such an essential step in my beauty routine. This is certainly the case during the fall season as well.
I love that with Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair night lotion, my skin is actually replenished and repaired while I sleep! I don't have many fine lines yet and would like to keep it that way for as long as possible. I know this product is doing its job because even though I am woken up by an infant sometimes 2 or 3 times a night, my skin still feels amazing in the morning. And, I love that one small pump of this great stuff is all you need.
And now for the part that I love to celebrate most — beautifying! I'm such a makeup junkie, especially with Neutrogena's line because they have such amazing formulations and shades for every skin tone and type.

This stuff is the perfect product to get your skin ready for makeup. It leaves your skin velvety soft while protecting it {which is a must-do, no matter the season!} from sun damage. Then, after priming, I love to use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector which is packed with antioxidants like vitamin E, wild chamomile, and soy. It also has SPF 25 which is a great bonus to find in an under-eye product. I like to apply it just under my eyes to help refresh and even out the delicate skin there. And when it comes to foundation, I opt for the less is more approach. Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup is the perfect everyday foundation. I use it in the Honey Beige color and I really like that it goes on smoothly, protects my skin with SPF 20, and blends beautifully with my skin tone. And for the ultimate finisher, Healthy Skin Custom Glow™ Blush & Bronzer has won me over, ya'll. The colors are blendable and very forgiving. I like how you can use both the blush and bronzer together or independently – whatever strikes your mood. I can tell that this product is going to make it into my Fall faves for beauty because it is gorgeous!
