This past weekend, Nathan (my 7 year-old) was invited to attend the Royals baseball game and take part in a special starting lineup program.  Well, we never turn down an opportunity to see a baseball game!  Nathan was super-stoked about getting to go out on the field and meet a few of the players. 

I would be remiss if I didn't mention how much mother nature cooperated, too!  The weather was absolutely GAH-RGEOUS!  I totally cannot wait for summer!  Can we just skip spring and head right to summer, please?!

Let's play ball!  And right after snapping this pic Nathan asks me, "Mom, did you get popcorn yet??"  Priorities, right?  I kindly explained we hadn't even found our seats yet.  Then on the way back to find the seats, I stopped for the must-have snack.

 

 
Even Jake was enjoying the game.  He did amazingly well and had a blast cheering and screaming during the ENTIRE game!  Which, by the way, Royals DID win after 13 innings!

My boys are SO ready for baseball…Nathan and William are both playing starting next month and have already been practicing a ton at home!  I, for one, am looking forward not only to the season but the HOTTER weather! Woo-hoo!
