I am so sick of seeing on Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, etc., etc. the constant gossip and judgement of Dick Clark’s “performance” on his New Year’s Eve show. The man just had a stroke a year ago, people, and i think it’s fascinating that he wanted to do this show in the first place.

I truly admire his dedication to his work and his great spirit. Yes, his speech was a little slurred, and no, he wasn’t the usual bubbly Dick Clark, but he showed up for work. That’s more than most people would do on New Year’s Eve.
