If you have not made it to a Ted's Montana Grill restaurant before, find one fast!  D and I had the pleasure of dining out there this evening for an early dinner before I headed to a meeting, and we were pleasantly surprised.

They have an extensive menu of great appetizers (we opted for the onion rings) to choose from, lots of seemingly yummy salads, burgers, soups, chicken, pot roast, and other down-home comfort foods.  What I like about this place is that everything was fresh.  The batter on the onion rings was seasoned just right and these were most certainly no frozen onion rings!  Mind you, we ended up boxing up half a dozen because we just could not finish them!

I opted for the New Mexico burger for my entree, which was a super fresh beef burger (it's offered in bison as well) with melted Monterrey Jack cheese topped with fresh guacamole and green peppers.  D selected a chicken dish which afforded him the options of two toppings on the chicken.  He opted for chili and guacamole.  Yes, a little messy, but good nonetheless.

The one thing I will say is that their sweet tea could've used a bit more "sweet" but I can't really complain because no one makes tea sweet enough for me.  I did like the cool earth-friendly paper straws that they offer as an alternative to plastic ones.  Dessert was a treat as well.  D and I decided to give their seasonal strawberry shortcake a whirl, and it was served with real Haagen-Dazs which was creamy and deeelish!

So the verdict?  I would definitely like to return to Ted's.  Their super-sweet service and extensive menu selections will make you want to, too.

You should go to the Brazilian place next to Elephant Bar where the gauchos serve you all the meat you want. They come to your table with the skewers and they cut it for you right at the table. You also get a little card that has a red side and a green side. You flip it to the green side when you want them to bring you more meat and you flip it to the red side when you are busy eating or ready to burst. I haven’t been, but I have heard it is super yummy.
