Back to life.

And back to reality!  The kids came back at 7:45 on Monday night and we haven't slowed down since.  They have been enjoying their new rooms – bedroom and playroom – and having fun with all their old toys.  Pictures of how their room turned out are forthcoming.  All I have to say is that D and I did a damn good job on the room.  We all love it!

On Sunday I was one out of five people who went to the local Toys R Us store to get in line for a Wii Fit.  D, the kids, and I have had fun so far but I am ashamed to say that my Wii age according to my lack of fitness is around mid 40s!  So, I have a plan to do something about that very soon.  I will be a fit mom, I will be a fit mom!  D is really loving the ski jumping and I personally like the hula-hooping exercises.

Tonight we took the kids to see Wall-E, which we should have been first in line for when the movie came out weeks ago, but the kids were on vacation so we were a little late on getting in opening night. It actually turned out great because we were one of about only five families in the whole theater.

It's so crazy how the kids just have gotten right back into their routine of life here at home.  W even started to cry when they first arrived.  It was too cute!  They both seem so much more grown up and mature.  D and I are just so glad they're back.  Tomorrow we'll be celebrating D's birthday and the boys are SO excited!

It’s good that they’re back. Why did W start to cry? Was it all the emotion he was feeling being back home? Or was it that he knew after Grammy left that he’d actually have rules to follow? 🙂 Hope y’all enjoy D’s birthday!! Bisous.

It was when his mom opened the door on his side and he saw her for the first time in nearly three weeks…his face was just so cute as he slightly puckered up his lips and his eyes became watery.
    I LOVE and MISS them!jv

I can imagine that the boys are so happy to be home. Grandma’s are cool and all, but there’s no place like home with mom and dad!
