Today's been such a whirlwind of a day.  With my mom and stepdad here we've enjoyed hanging out and visiting with each other.  We headed out to the Plaza so I could get some back to school shopping done for N, who will of course need new jeans for fall.  Jeez, am I already saying that?  Fall?  Anyway, I had a great 25% off coupon for Gap which just so happens to be good just this weekend – the same weekend as Missouri's tax free weekend!  Perfect!

N ended up with four pairs of jeans, a pair of khakis, a pair of navy pants, and a long-sleeve find.  I got such a high out of how much I saved, seriously.  The employee totaled up my purchase before my coupon and it was $127.92.   With my 25% off my total came to $97.25!  I was shocked at the amount of Gap clothing I was walking out with for under $100!  Plus, I paid zero tax – sweet!

N's pretty much set for jeans.  I do want to get him another pair of more casual khakis, maybe some cargo khaki pants and then he'll need long-sleeve sweaters and shirts, but those are pretty easy and a lot cheaper to come by than good, quality jeans.

As we made our way back to the car from our shopping adventure, N's favorite pair of red flip-flops busted.  He was quite upset.  He all but demanded we return to the store to find him another pair but I reminded him he had other pairs he could wear instead and that we were on our way home so he didn't need to worry about not wearing shoes at the moment (later my mom and I ended up going out again and we happened to stumble upon a cute pair of flip-flops for $2.97 so she bought them for him).  We all got a good laugh out of the flip-flop ordeal and N didn't think too much of it afterwards.

The other really cool thing about today were the homemade tortillas my mom served with dinner tonight (which happened to be chicken fajitas and rice):
