Tuna with a twist.

After my great workout today, the kids and I came back home to grab lunch before heading out for errands.  I decided to try out the recipe I'd seen on the back of the Ranch dressing bottle the other day and I must say, it was quite tasty and has revved up my palate for tuna!

What's in it:

  • One small can chunk-lite tuna in water, drained
  • Dollop of Ranch dressing
  • 1/8 c. chopped green onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • Fresh ground pepper (to taste)

Make it tasty:

Combine all ingredients in small bowl.  Spread on bread or enjoy with crackers!

My take on it:

This was, without a doubt, super easy and delish.  I served it up with Fritos and N was even brave enough to try a piece of celery doused in Ranch dressing – which is HUGE for him!  I think I'll be offering celery with Ranch as a daily side item for him if it means he'll eat his veggies!  I am so not a mayo lover so the Ranch works well for me with the tuna.  I don't think I'll ever have it any other way.

What do you like in your tuna salad?

A ton of mayonnaise!!! I can’t believe you don’t like mayo – that’s insane. But, my fave tuna dish is tuna pasta salad with spiral noodles, mayo (can sub Ranch for weirdos like you), corn, salt and pepper. I also prefer using the albacore packed in olive oil. It’s good warm or cold and easy for lunch.
