One of the things I've done for N every year before his first day of school is make him some sort of special treat.  Last year I tried my hand at the pencil cake which turned out great.

This year I opted for something a little more simple.  I made cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting and spelled out "Yay 4 Pre-K" using one letter for each cupcake.  N was thrilled.  Can you tell?

This week is a very busy week with school starting, violin, Catechesis, swimming lessons, and soccer!  N couldn't be more excited though!  We've got the Transformers backpack all geared up and ready to go!
