This windy fall-like weather has me thinking and feeling that I should be thankful for it, but many who know me know that I'd take a steamy, hot, humid, flip-flop-wearing day over a day like this – anytime. I did, however, happen to be facing out the window when I was doing some interneting this morning and noticed my backyard now looks like this:
I must admit that I am so very thankful for my big backyard. I love that the kids can take pretty much any activity outside and still have lots of room to jump and run around. That soccer net on the right has been up since N's fourth birthday over a year ago and he's enjoyed it immensely! (Thanks Auntie & Uncle Gui)
The leaves have changed colors and are now fluttering their way to the dormant green grass and the change of season is most certainly in the air. Yes, I'm thankful for my backyard, although there's still plenty I'd like to do with it (think: pool!) and then there's the fact that it's a little slopey. I love it, still and it's everything I ever dreamed of having for my kids when they were just a sparkle in my eye.
I'm sure the snow-covered backyard pics will be forthcoming all too soon. ♥
