Today while having lunch, N said to me, "Mom, from now on don't cut off the crusts from my pb & j because I love the crusts now."

Music to my ears.  Just one less step I have to go through.  I am so thankful N has opened up his range of possibilites of things he will actually eat or at least try.  I wonder if he'll ever try steak.  Hmmm….maybe I should hold off on that.  I'm not ready to share mine yet.

I love that!! I could picture him saying it so matter-of-factly, as if it was as natural a thing to say as "hey, the sun's out today." I'm glad that his taste buds are opening up to new things – maybe by the time he makes it across the Atlantic, he'll be ready to try some real French cuisine. 😉

Once he starts kindergarten things will open up for him. I am not saying that he will start eating everything under the sun, but I think it helped Liam to see that other children eat foods that are normal and they are still alive to talk about it. He is still picky, but SO MUCH better and we can usually at least get him to try things now.

Oh, and if you want to know what kids in France eat in school today, check out this blog post. No wonder Frenchies aren't such picky eaters! Yum! 🙂
