For weeks now, I’ve been partying on Twitter and Facebook with the Latina Smart peeps. There’s been talk of how Latinas overcome circumstances and persevere in order to succeed in life. There’s been talk about our ancestors and how many of them have paved the way for all the wonderful opportunities that are now available to us. There’s been talk about those who inspire us – our families, mothers, teachers, children, and mentors – in order to achieve greatness.
It’s been wonderful. It’s been inspiring. It’s been completely motivating hanging out with peeps who share my like-minded thoughts and goals. And then, it got better.
I was recently asked to serve as one of the Latina Smart Brand Ambassadors. I of course humbly accepted. Wow! What an honor it is for me to be part of this fantastic campaign and opportunity. I am also so excited to be in such great company! The other Brand Ambassadors who will be part of this project along with me are:

So, what does this actually mean for me? Being part of the vibrant Latina Smart community on Facebook is such an amazing chance to celebrate the beauty – both inside and out – that we’re all born with. And as if that weren’t enough, part of serving in this incredible capacity is that I, along with the other Brand Ambassadors, will have the distinct honor and pleasure of helping in the judging process for the Latina Smart scholarship program.
The Latina Smart Fund, powered by Kmart, is awarding $25,000 in scholarships to students! Share what makes you Latina Smart and submit your entry and YOU could win one of three $5,000 scholarships or the Grand Prize – $10,000 towards your education!
