I seriously don't know what people did without smartphones, apps, tablets, and the like to help keep themselves organized for the holidays.  Lately I've found myself reaching for either my Motorola Xoom or Droid Bionic several times a day just to update a list or make a note of something or check a deal out in preparation for the Christmas holiday!

So, I thought I'd share my top 5 apps for keeping me on the path to organization this season.  I am sure many of you know what it's like to have visions of blowing your budget dancing in your head when it comes to gifts.  And, how could your head not be spinning trying to keep all the deals, rewards, and coupons in order so that you don't miss a thing?  There's so much to keep track of, so for me, it's been helpful to have these apps to help get me through it.

Yowza
is a great way to locate deals within your area and keeps the savings at your fingertips when you're on the go!

Shopkick gives you the opportunity to earn "kicks", or points, just for checking into certain retailers and scanning items, etc.  It's loaded with deals and rewards from retailers like Crate & Barrel, Toys R Us, Old Navy, Target, and more!  This app is more like a game for me, as I LOVE using it and playing around with it to see what's new!

Evernote has been my go-to app for a loooooong  time now, as I use it for EVERYTHING from grocery lists, blogging gigs, note-taking, meal planning, to-do lists, and more! I love that all of my information stays updated and available whether I am accessing it on my Xoom tablet, Droid Bionic, or my laptop.  Use it to organize your entire holiday by creating individual "notebooks" for each person, meal, event, tradition, etc.

Key Ring is a new app that I'm starting to LOVE!!  It's a fantastic way to keep track of all those reward cards crowding up your keychain or wallet, and gives access to rewards coupons and special offers from merchants.

Xmas Organizer is another new one for me.  I love that it helps you keep a gift list and budget that updates each time you enter in a gift you've bought.  Create shopping lists for everyone you're looking to buy for, then keep track of the where and how much you paid for each gift.  There's also the option to password protect your entries to makes sure you're the only one "checking it twice"!

So what apps are your favorite for staying organized this holiday season? There are so many great ones out there so take a minute and explore your smartphone.  Happy holidays!
