This past summer while I was visiting my hometown of Austin, Texas waiting for my sister to have her baby, I found myself with plenty of free time.  I remember one afternoon when I'd taken my mom's car to go out and run a few shopping errands.  I found myself drifting over to my old 'hood where I remember the house we once lived in that I accidentally set the backyard on fire!  It was nice to just go for a drive to "see what unfolds". 

Yep, that's my old house where I have plenty of memories.  The first house where my parents let me have a coed birthday party.  I remember getting a Pat Magee's orange colored t-shirt as one of my gifts.  This house, for me, has such great memories!  My parents were still together at this time and even though things weren't perfect, they were memorable.  I also remember my friends and I ACCIDENTALLY setting my backyard on fire with some old fireworks we were playing around with one Saturday afternoon.  My mom and I still joke about how scary this day was, even though at the time it was not that funny!  Thank goodness our neighbor to the south was a firefighter and was home that afternoon.

For me, remininscing about good 'ol days is fun and nostalgic for me.  It's something I treasure about all the family experiences I have in my memory.
