#PGFiestas - Tide Pods
The hectic holiday season is most certainly upon us. And, whether you are hosting or being hosted at a friend or family member's, you are probably feeling a bit of holiday stress right now.

Recently, I was invited to participate in a live online webinar sponsored by P&G and hosted by celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and home entertainment expert Katie Lee.  They both shared some amazingly practical tips for getting and staying ahead during this holiday season.  They also shared some of their favorite products to help us all make holiday time more enjoyable.

Robert Verdi

Some of my favorite takeaway tips from Rober Verdi included:

  • Simple ways to change outfit from day to night – sparkle underneath of something (interior shell at work, exterior at night/parties).  This changes your look instantly. Accessorize – bring your fab jewelry (switch from pearls during the day to chandelier, sparkly jewelry for night).  Carry a clutch inside your day tote that you will then use at night instead of carrying a big bag to an evening event.
  • Colors on trend this holiday season – rich peacock greens and blues; lots of greens; sunny bright yellows – warm, optimistic color.
  • Gift giving ideas for the women in your life (including hard-to-buy-for girlfriends – an escape from chaos / routine of her life ; little moments to indulge – gift packs from Olay (Winter Rescue gift packs) with great products to help them feel beautiful.  I love this quote from Robert:  "Luxury is not a price tag – it's a feeling."

Katie Lee

  • When hosting guests make a guest basket full of toiletries – deoderant, bandaids, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, razor, puffs facial tissues.  This makes it easy for them to have what they need without them feeling like they are bothering you each time a need arises.
  • When it comes to getting guest bedrooms ready fresh clean linens are a must-have.  Tide Pods (which have a great scent) will ensure your guests have the freshest linens.  They can also be decorative: fill up in a vase and give as a hostess gift!  (They're quite pretty to look at!)
  • Tips for feeding on a budget – choose a cut of meat not as expensive, stretch prosecco by mixing with cranberry or pomegranate juice and serve with slice of fruit.
  • Great gifts – put together a "basket of my favorite things" to gift your friends.  Include Tide Pods, Tide To Go pens, a favorite candle, lipstick, Venus Olay razor, and more.

And now P&G is going to help me give one of you a great gift pack!  One reader will receive a P&G Home or Beauty Pack. Giveaway ends on December  21, 2012 at 11:59pm. Winner will be chosen at random. Good luck!
