Pull-Ups Madrinas del Baño

As the mother of three {soon to be four} boys, I'm no stranger to potty-training woes.  I do have to admit though, that with my 3 year-old son, Jacob, I have been UNpleasantly surprised at how unsuccessful this whole potty training thing is going.

With my older two sons, they were easily potty-trained by age 3 and both of them took maybe 1 – 2 weeks max to be completely trained.  Done. Easy. It's what I expected round three to be like.  I was wrong.

The hubs and I have tried on numerous occasions to potty-train our sweet Jacob once and for all.  We stopped buying diapers, went to just big-boy underwear, and dealt with the accidents that were happening left and right.  But then I hit my 3rd trimester of this pregnancy and I gave up.  Jacob truly has ZERO desire to be out of his diapers.  I mean, he talks about being out of them but when it comes down to gettin' to business, he's all talk.  And being due with my 4th boy in just a month, I just don't have the patience or the energy to even try at this point.

My wild, un-potty-trained 3 year-old!
But, Grammy {a.k.a., my mom} is coming in just a couple of weeks for a spring break visit and, well, I plan on enlisting her help to see if we can make a potty-training breakthrough with my sweet boy! I'm just so worried that he won't be fully potty-trained by Fall since that is when he's supposed to be starting preschool.  We've explained to him over and over that you can't wear diapers to school but he just chuckles and slyly changes the subject.  I wish I could have such a carefree attitude about this whole thing like he does!

When I was presented with the opportunity to participate in the "Madrinas del Baño" campaign, I literally felt an instant relief!  For me, my excitment was partly due to the fact that I LOVE the Pull-Ups grand and partly because the timing was so perfect with where we are in our potty-training journey.  I love that Pull-Ups has recently created Every Flush, an initiative where parents and their kids can celebrate literally "every flush"!  I am a firm believer in celebrating every accomplishment when it comes to potty training, especially when working with reluctant potty-trainees!   One of the cool things is that parents can visit the Pull-Ups website and can customize a digital celebration as a reward for successful flushes and learn more about all of the Pull-Ups® Every Flush tools.  And to make things even more interesting, parents can now download the new Big Kid App for both Android and iOS devices.  The app allows you to scan specially marked packages of Pull-Ups for an interactive 3-D experience as a reward for big kid success!  Pull-Ups offers tips, tools and resources to help make potty training a fun and successful experience.

I plan on sharing our journey through this attempt at potty-training over the next couple of months, which will hopefully be successful.  I'm excited to start using some of the cool tools and reward system that Pull-Ups offers parents to assist in the potty-training process.   I hope you'll join me in learning more about it!

I’m starting the potty training process with my son too and, so far, it hasn’t been easy! I feel like the one chickening out is ME! LOL

    Amanda,
I agree! It’s almost too much effort to be worth it! LOL! But, I need to suck it up and just do it! Good luck to you!! 🙂
